Here are some poems in loving memory of a Mother in Heaven:
1. In Loving Memory Of My Mom
Something will remind me
I never know just when,
It might be something someone says
And it all comes back again
The times we spent together
The happiness, the fun,
Once again I feel the pain
Of life without my Mom
It’s said that time’s a healer
I’m not sure this is true,
There’s not a day goes by Mom
That I don’t cry for you.
2. She Is Gone
You can shed tears that she is gone,
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her,
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her only that she is gone,
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what she’d want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
3. Mothers Never Really Die
Death beckoned her with outstretched hand.
And whispered softly of “AN UNKNOWN LAND”
But she was not afraid to go
for though the path she did not know,
She took DEATH’S HAND without a fear
For He safely brought her here
Had told her He would lead the way
Into ETERNITY’S BRIGHT DAY…
And so she did not go alone
Into the “VALLEY THAT’S UNKNOWN”
She gently took DEATH BY THE HAND
and journeyed to “THE PROMISED LAND”
And there, with step so light and gay,
She polishes the sun by day
And lights the stars that shine the night.
And keeps the moonbeams silvery bright…
For MOTHERS really never die,
They just “KEEP HOUSE UP IN THE SKY”…
And in the HEAVENLY HOME ABOVE
They wait to “welcome” those they love.
4. Always With You
Mom, I am always with you
connected we are – heart and soul
Death is not a separation
In memory and spirit – we stroll
Hand in hand we carry on
Embracing forever – as energy and light
Your magic stays with me
Perpetually enduring – shining so bright
I will forever love you
Those too – whom you have touched
Live you now in eternal peace
You deserve it – so very much
5. So many things of MOM I miss
Her gentle hug and tender kiss
I still can feel her warm embrace
And yet picture her loving face
A Mother’s work is never done
and Heaven must have needed one
for angels came and took her hand
and led her to GOD’s promised land
She’s surely kept quite busy there
brushing little Angels’ hair
Although there’s sadness, this I know
She’s waiting there, her face aglow
I close my eyes and I can see
her arms still open wide for me
I Love And Miss You Mom
