Here are some poems in loving memory of a loved one in Heaven:
1. Each time I visit your precious grave,
It makes me feel so close to you…
I make sure everything’s looking nice,
And I share a tale or two…
A gentle breeze passes by,
And brushes through my hair…
I hear the tinkling of the wind-chime,
And I feel your spirit’s near…
I know your body lays beneath me,
Your ‘Spirit’ live on in Heaven above…
This place is truelly ‘Hallowed Ground’,
It’s filled with peace and so much love…
I know visiting won’t bring you back,
But for a moment we’re again together…
It’s my way of saying ‘I love you’,
And I’ll cherish you ‘Forever’…
2. Faded Rememberance
Your silent eyes reach out to me,
calling me through the myst of time.
I see the vision of your face forever
etched upon my heart and mind.
I reach out my hand to you, but
you disappear into the air. Now
I have only a faint memory; a
trace of your smile and hair.
Your laugh eludes me as does your
voice. I know your eyes, are keen
and intense. But the picture it gives
is only a faded rememberance.
3. The Sacred Dance
The stars reflecting in your eyes
strike up a chord within my soul.
I have known you oh ancient one
from eons past. Calling me from
a distant time, ‘Remember me’
you whisper long into the night.
Don’t forget starchild your destiny.
I won’t forget oh golden eyed one.
Your image is imprinted within my
heart; for you are a part of my being.
You are the other half of me and my
love for all time! As I gaze up at the
twinkling orbs above, I remember the
way you held me in our sacred dance
4. Don’t Grieve For Me For Now I’m Free
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard Him call;
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way;
I found that place at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared a laugh, a kiss;
Ah yes, these things, I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much;
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my time seems all to brief;
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
5. When your beautiful
heart stop beating,
my heart just
broke in two,
here on earth,
there will never
be another like you…
