Here are some poems in loving memory of a Loved one in Heaven:
1. That No-One Can Replace
Even in the darkest days
Since we’ve been apart,
Memories of the times we shared
Help to warm my heart.
Every day I miss the smile
That no-one can replace,
But still it brings me comfort
In the sadness that I face.
Life is full of mysteries
That no-one can explain,
But I know some day, somewhere
We will meet again.
Until we do I’ll find the strength
To live through each new day,
Grateful for the happy years
Before you went away.
2. They Are Walking By Our Side.
We share the road of life
with ones that we hold dear
and if it were in our power
we’d always keep them near.
For, they help us navigate
the obstacles in life
and it makes the journey easier
when they are walking by our side.
And, though the way is lonelier
when we no longer hear their step-
Remember, they still share our road,
they’ve just traveled on ahead.
3. A Thousand Memories
Old Songs we loved tell a Story
The passing of time can never Erase.
Reminding me of our life Together
When ever I hear them Play.
Living without you hasn’t been Easy
Knowing things can never Change.
Its only when I hear our Song
That brings it all back Again.
And then when my mind begins to Wander
Still your presence never Leaves.
All it takes is just one Song
To bring back a Thousand Memories.
4. When I’m with you,
eternity is a step away,
my love continues to grow,
with each passing day.
This treasure of love,
I cherish within my soul,
how much I love you…
you’ll never really know.
You bring a joy to my heart,
I’ve never felt before,
with each touch of your hand,
I love you more and more.
Whenever we say goodbye,
whenever we part,
know I hold you dearly,
deep inside my heart.
So these seven words,
I pray you hold true,
“Forever And Always,
I Will Love You.”
5. Just because you cannot see me
does not mean I am not there.
Just because I am in Heaven
does not mean I do not care.
I often see you crying,
you often say my name
I want to hold you tight,
I want to ease your pain.
Its easy for me for I know Heaven
is real. If you knew the truth,
how much better you’d feel!
One day we will meet again,
but only when the time is right.
When you step out of the darkness,
I will be standing in the Light.
6. Does Time Heals All Wounds?
Everyone keeps telling me
that time heals all wounds,
but no one can tell me
what I’m supposed to do right now.
Right now I can’t sleep.
It’s right now that I can’t eat.
Right now I still hear his voice
and sense his presence even though
I know he’s not here.
Right now all I seem to do is cry.
I know all about time and wounds healing,
but even if I had all the time in the world,
I still don’t know what to do
with all this hurt right now.
